Dermal fillers Dermal fillers

Dermal fillers restore volume, elasticity and hydration to the face.

As they contain naturally occurring proteins identical to those found in our skin, they are a subtle yet powerful way to restore volume loss to facial proportions. Dermal fillers are injected into varying areas and depths of facial tissues, depending on the desired objective, and last up to 18 months. We use volume-enhancing dermal filler products made in a sterile laboratory.

Areas that we treat are lips, cheeks, under eyes, chin, jawline, nose & mouth.

Muscle relaxants Muscle relaxants

Anti-wrinkle and slimming injections can reduce muscle bulk. We precisely inject tiny amounts of a liquid containing muscle relaxant medication into facial muscles. Treatments last three to four months on average and take only 10 minutes to administer. Results are seen after one week, as the muscles relax and lines start to dissipate.

Areas that we treat are forehead, frown lines, smile lines, chin, nose, mouth & jaw.

Facial threading Facial threading

Facial threading is a non-invasive procedure to elevate skin for those not wanting to go under invasive surgery.

The procedure activates collagen production, improves skin quality, and immediately repositions tissue to gently lift and reshape the face.

Once the coned suture is placed under the skin, there is a slight compression to help reposition tissues.

Results typically last for 18 months and are apparent immediately after the 30-minute procedure.

Areas to be treated are brow, mid-face, jawline & neck.

Collagen stimulation Collagen stimulation

Collagen stimulation is an injectable treatment that increases volume and revitalises the skin.

Created differently from popular standard dermal fillers, bio-stimulants comprise microspheres suspended in a gel. This unique combination works through two steps.

Step one involves injecting the gel. Step two is the natural formation of new collagen. The gel portion of the filler starts to be naturally absorbed after four weeks; however, during that time, the microspheres begin to stimulate new collagen formation.

This new collagen formation peaks at around 12 weeks, helping reinforce the work of the filler long after the gel has dissolved. The spheres then stay in place and stimulate collagen for one to four years, depending on the product chosen.

How does it work? How does it work?

Collagen is the main structural protein of our skin. It makes our skin appear firm and smooth. With age, natural collagen production slows, and our skin becomes thinner, losing volume and elasticity. Therefore the use of bio-stimulants helps create the formation of new collagen.

Standard gel fillers typically last up to 12 months. However, many patients who are satisfied with the result might consider a longer-lasting option that has the added benefit of improving skin quality.

What are the risks involved? What are the risks involved?

Making the decision to have cosmetic surgery is a serious one, and patients considering a procedure should also keep in mind that they need time to recover, they will need support, and possibly time off work. They may also need other therapies such as massage and compression garments.

During your consultation we will discuss the range of options available to you and recommend treatments that have the best chance of achieving your desired goals. Part of this conversation will cover, in more detail, the types of complications and risks that apply to your specific circumstances. In general, the risks and complications of surgery are:

• disappointing aesthetic outcome
• infection
• bleeding
• scarring
• significant asymmetry (a large difference between sides)
• pain
• change in skin sensation (eg. numbness)
• allergic reaction
• anaesthetic complications
• prolonged recover and wound healing
• collections of fluid

All of these may result in the need for further treatment or surgery.
